Introducing the Second Edition of DANISH DAIRYING

ABSTRACT

The first edition of Einar O. Petersen's Danish Dairying was made available to the public at the Dairy Congress in Rome, 1956. It was completely out of print within a couple of months. During succeeding years there has been a steady call for the book; a demand we felt could be ignored no longer.

A new edition was, therefore, decided upon. It is characteristic of the new edition, when compared to the earlier one, that it has been made completely up-to-date with regard to text and tables. In addition, at the publisher's expense, many of the numerous illustrations have been replaced by new and better ones.

It may be pointed out that what originally motivated Mejeriteknisk Bogforlag to publish this book were the numerous questions regarding Danish dairying, its structure and organization, etc., asked by the many thousands that have visited Danish dairies through the years for the purpose of study. Essentially, the hundreds of questions asked covered the same ground.
