ABSTRACT

P. M. T. Hansen Honored By Australian Society

Dr. Poul M. T. Hansen, who joined the Department of Dairy Technology Staff, at The Ohio State University in January 1964 has been honored by being awarded the Silver Medal by the Federal Council of the Australian Society of Dairy Technology for the most outstanding research work accomplished in 1963 on the basis of papers published in the Journal of the Society. Two papers were given a high rating: The Manufacture of Butter Powder and Baking Performance of Butter Powder. Dr. Hansen, a native of Denmark, received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Illinois and served three years at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, Melbourne, Australia. He is now responsible for the milk protein research in the Department.

J. L. Blaisdell Appointed at Ohio

Dr. John L. Blaisdell has joined the Staff of the Department of Dairy Technology and Agricultural Engineering as an Assistant Professor.
