Student Affiliate Committee, Purdue University West Lafayette, Indiana
ABSTRACT
Papers presented by graduate student affiliates continue to be an important part of the meetings. Over 10% of the papers presented annually before the Manufacturing and Production Sections are by those individuals entered in the Graduate Student Paper Presentation Contest. Many A.D.S.A. members have commented that these papers are among the very best presented at the Annual Meeting.
Presentations continue to be of an improving nature. An extended effort should be undertaken by advisors to provide and promote competition at the local level for contestants. Several institutions have overlooked or avoided this opportunity for post-graduate competition. Each institution is entitled to enter one participant in each contest (Production and Manufacturing). Participants must be student affiliate members. Guidelines and the scorecard for this Association activity may be found elsewhere in the May issue of this JOURNAL: (47: 573. 1964). D. E. Voelker, Chairman of the 1965 Program Committee for A.D.S.A. has outlined several items of general interest in the September issue of the JOURNAL (47: 1043–1045. 1964).
