Inexpensive Technique for Production of C14 Alfalfa for Animal Feeding Experiments1

ABSTRACT

An inexpensive growth chamber for labeling alfalfa with C14 for rumen metabolism studies is described. Approximately 34% of the C14 released in the chamber was recovered in the plants. The chamber could be used for labeling other plants in either soil or hydroponic culture.
