ABSTRACT
Dairy cows previously exposed to 1.2, 1.4, or 2.0 mg F/Kg body weight for 4 yr were given a normal dairy ration for 2 yr, and their responses observed. During this period, these animals mobilized and excreted a portion of their skeletal fluoride load. However, the majority of the body fluoride remained and there was no apparent improvement in dental or bone lesions. The data available fail to show an improvement of the physiological responses of the animals during the recovery period.
