Mr. Hileman received his B.S. degree from Pennsylvania State University in '19 and his M.S. degree from Cornell University in '23. He was associated with the Dairymen's League for 33 years before his retirement in October, 1958, due to ill health.

He was author and co-author of numerous articles on thermodurics, lipase, uses of dry milk, and flavors in dairy products. The Dairy Industry in the state of New York and in the United States have been the beneficiary of Joe Hileman's unselfish service.
