ABSTRACT
On the dues notices for 1963, provision was made for the members to state the name of employer, type of business, and position and field of principal interest, i.e., Milk Production, Manufacturing, or Extension. Getting this information from all members was difficult and some who failed to supply it with their dues were contacted again. Finally, information was obtained from 2,284 members out of the total of 2,473. This is considered very satisfactory and the 189 members from whom information was not obtained would not change the classification.
The membership is divided according to field of major interest as follows:
In classifying membership, one could go into almost endless detail if every position were listed. An effort has been made to classify them according to major types, with enough breakdown to indicate the wide variety of positions.
