ABSTRACT
Chloride in bucket milk samples from 100 cows was estimated by a modified Volhard method, an electrometric procedure, and direct titration with AgNO3. The readings of the electrometric procedure and the modified Volhard method were more closely related than those of the direct titration with AgNO3 and the modified Volhard method. The electrometric procedure could be more readily conducted than the two other methods, and it practically eliminated operator variability in the detection of end points.
