PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS
Honored Guests, Members of the American Dairy Science Association, Ladies and Gentlemen:
The president of a society such as ours has two obligations in addressing the membership at the Annual Meeting: to give an accounting of his stewardship in relation to the affairs of the society, and to point out some of the problems likely to be encountered. The affairs of the Association may be discussed under three headings: the physical aspects such as finances, membership, and JOURNAL circulation; the scientific climate within the Association; and the Association activities of the members.
I shall direct my remarks first to the physical aspects of our Association. I am pleased to be able to report that the financial condition at the present time is sound.
