The United States Department of Agriculture is honored to be joint hosts with the University of Maryland to the 57th annual meeting of the American Dairy Science Association, June 18–21, 1962.

It is significant that your Association is holding its annual meeting in the Washington, D. C. area on the beautiful campus of the University of Maryland in 1962 because it is the centennial year of the founding of the Land-Grant College System and the United States Department of Agriculture. I am pleased to note that you plan to recognize the centennial during your meeting.

The Department is pleased to join with the University of Maryland in welcoming you.
