Eastern Division Meeting American Dairy Science Association

ABSTRACT

The 33rd Annual Meeting of the Eastern Division of the American Dairy Science Association was held September 21 in West Springfield, Massachusetts, at the offices of the Eastern Farmers' Exchange, Inc.

In a discussion on ways and means of improving the annual division meeting, it was decided to contact members in the Northeast to obtain their opinions. The alternatives presented were: 1. Investigate the possibilities of joining the meeting with the North Atlantic Section, American Society of Animal Production. 2. Develop a one-day meeting during the summer months to be held at a university campus in the area. 3. Continue with the present type of meeting, which is convenient for those with judging teams or for those attending the Eastern States Exposition. 4. Develop a one-day meeting during the week of Eastern States Exposition.

H. F. Judkins, Secretary-Treasurer of A.D.S.A., reported on the national program of A.D.S.A. and policies of the Journal of Dairy Science. He strongly urged the divisional meetings to study and discuss the activities and policies of the National Association.
