A Section Devoted to News of Student Members

ABSTRACT

News of Student Activities

This section of the JOURNAL can function effectively only if the student chapters will send news of their activities to your editor. The section is intended to serve as a medium of exchange of ideas among student chapters and members. Such an exchange can help each chapter to improve its program. News should be mailed to: J. E. Johnston, Dairy Department, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge 3, Louisiana, and should be in your editor's hands by the 5th of the month.

Kansas State Dairy Science Club

The Kansas State University Dairy Science Club held the first meeting of the fall semester Tuesday, September 22, 1959. BYRON WARTA, the club's representative at the annual A.D.S.A. meeting, told about the meeting, stressed its value, and suggested that a number of the members attend in the future. LEON SUCHT, the 1957 IFYE student to Panama, spoke and showed slides of the country. An activity planned for the future was a staff-student softball game.
