ABSTRACT

This laboratory manual was prepared for use in the college introductory course in dairying. In it, 11 exercises of the type that would permit maxinium student participation are outlined.

The subject matter areas covered and the number of exercises devoted to each include : Composition of Milk, 2; Tour of the Dairy Processing Plant, 1; Quality of Dairy Products, 1; Feeding Dairy Cows, 3; Management and Housing, 1; Milking Management, 1.; Artificial Breeding, 1; and Dairy Cattle Judging, 1.

The exercises are well illustrated with pictures and schematic drawings, along with procedures and problems.
