From the Membership Committee Chairman

On behalf of the National Membership Committee of the American Dairy Science Association, I would like to express the sincere thanks and appreciation of the Committee for the fine cooperation of the State, Divisional, and Regional Chairmen in conducting the membership drive for 1958. The fine attitude and cooperation of the various members in the different states, and of all others who have been interested in promoting the A.D.S.A., have contributed immeasurably to the success of our campaign. It has become obvious to the Membership Committee that individual effort and personal contact are absolutely necessary for a successful membership drive. In the states where personal contacts were made, and where the state chairmen expressed a real interest in the program, the membership for A.D.S.A. for 1958 was increased considerably. In states where the state chairmen had a lackadaisical attitude and waited for prospective members to make the first move, ground was lost.
