ABSTRACT
Proposed National Constitution
The proposed national constitution, as approved at the June, 1957, meeting, was circulated to the student chapters for their approval early in December. Each chapter was requested to vote on the constitution and notify your editor by February 1. As of Feb. 10, 12 of the 37 chapters had approved it, with no disapprovals received. Those chapters which have not yet voted are requested to do so as soon as possible. Two chapters raised questions about the wording of certain sections. Clarifications of this wording shall be prepared and distributed, so that final action can be taken at the annual meeting in Raleigh if the constitution is approved by the necessary majority.
Many of the chapters replying thus far have indicated that they plan to have a student delegate at the 1958 convention. This is very desirable but, where it is impossible, a faculty member of A.D.S.A. may be appointed as heir representative.
