Condition in Dairy Calves and Level of Circulating Eosinophils1

A. B. Schultze

Department of Dairy Husbandry, University of Nebraska, Lincoln

ABSTRACT

Relative condition (fatness) and eosinophil counts in triplicate were determined for 45 heifer calves from six to 17 months of age.

Eosinophil level between calves was related to condition of the calf; calves with a higher degree of condition had the higher eosinophil counts.
