R. W. Bratton, R. H. Foote and C. R. Henderson

Department of Animal Husbandry, Cornell University, Ithaca, N. Y.

ABSTRACT

Three groups of approximately 4,100 first service dairy cows each were inseminated artificially with three different concentrations of motile spermatozoa, estimated to be 14.3 x 106, 9.5 x 106, and 4.7 x 106; the 60- to 90-day per cent nonreturns were 70.5, 70.9, and 66.7, respectively.
