ABSTRACT

Thomas Corneliuson, dairy manufacturing specialist of the Dairy Division, U. S. Department of Agriculture, died on October 3, 1919, at Belleville, Wisconsin, after a lingering illness of six months. Mr. Comeliuson, who has long been active in dairy work throughout the United States, leaves a host of friends who will mourn this new loss to the dairy industry.

Up to the time of his illness Mr. Comeliuson was in active charge of the inspection of the large quantities of butter produced for the United States Navy, and also directed the inspection of the.renovated butter produced in this country.

Mr. Comeliuson, who was bom in Denmark, April 18, 1865, received his early training in creamery work in that country. After serving several years as- student and buttermaker in Danish creameries he decided that the United States held greater opportunities in store for him and accordingly came to this country in 1890.
